Showtime Quilters Guide began as quilters looking for quilt shows as we traveled around the country on various trips. After just missing several shows, we discovered that it was very difficult to find show information, except through the neighborhood quilt store, especially while traveling.
To help others easily access this information, we put out a list of regional quilt shows. The guilds wanted more information so a page for each quilt show was printed in booklet form. While attending a show, we also wanted to visit the local shops. We quickly discovered that the local phone book does not list all of the shops.
The shops were listed on yellow paper behind the quilt shows and the booklet became even more useful. To make it easier to find the stores in each city, we added the Travel Pages, organized by city. It has continued to improve with every edition.
The 5 Regional Directories contain the most complete listing of quilt shops and travel pages in the country. Quilting events are only listed in the Regional books. Our National Directory now includes all 50 states & Canadian provinces with about 4,000 shops. This book is double spiraled on about 600 pages.
